– 35 –Drain Pump AssemblyThe drain pump assembly is located under the tuband operates on 120 VAC. It is energized for the first60 seconds of a new cycle and for approximately105 seconds after the wash pump shuts down toremove any water in the dishwasher sump. Thedrain pump forces water out of the drain line. Acheck valve flap on the drain pump prevents thedischarged water from entering the sump.The drain pump has an approximate resistancevalue of 30 .Operation of the drain pump assembly can bechecked by using the service test mode. (See ServiceMode.)To remove the drain pump assembly:1. Disconnect power.2. Remove the dishwasher from its installation.3. Lay the dishwasher on its back.4. Disconnect the 2 wires from the drain pump.5. Loosen the 5/16-in. hex-head screw, then pullthe drain pump off the sump.DisconnectDisconnectMotor Pump AssemblyThe motor pump assembly is located under thetub behind the sump. The motor utilizes a startcapacitor rated at 10 fd. The motor rotatesclockwise (as viewed from the terminal end) anddraws approximately 1 amp at 120 VAC.The motor pump assembly has an approximateresistance value of 10 .Operation of the motor pump assembly can bechecked using the service test mode. (See ServiceMode.)To remove the motor pump assembly:1. Disconnect power.2. Remove the dishwasher from its installation.3. Lay the dishwasher on its back.4.
