They may prevent detergent from circulating in thewash cycle.The lower rack is best used for plates, saucers, andcookware. Large items such as broiler pans and racksshould go along the sides. Load platters, pots and bowlsalong the sides, in corners, or in the back.Place all items to be washed with the soiled side facing thecenter of the rack.Put flatware in the removable basket with fork and knifehandles up to protect your hands. Place spoons in thebasket with handles down. Mix knives, forks and spoonsso they don’t nest together.
