HOW TO USE THE UNICOUPLEBefore Operating Your Dishwasher the First Time…Attach the Faucet Adapter. The special faucet adaptersupplied with your dishwasher must be assembled to thesink faucet before you can use your dishwasher.The faucet adapter is designed to fit standard spoutshaving internal or external threads. You will find theadapter and two washers in the “Faucet Adapter”packet in your dishwasher.To install faucet adapter, first remove the old aeratoror trim ring on your faucet spout.If faucet has external threads:Insert the thinner of the twowashers into the faucet adapterand attach it to the faucet spout.Tighten with pliers.If faucet has internal threads:Insert both of the washers intothe faucet adapter and attach itto the faucet spout.Tighten with pliers.If the faucet adapter threadsdo not match your faucet spout,your local hardware or plumbingsupply store normally has additionalfittings to adapt your faucet spout tothe special faucet adapter.NOTE: A sink spray attachment hose can burst if itis installed on the same sink with your dishwasher.We suggest that you disconnect the sink sprayattachment if your sink has one and plug the hole.How to Connect the Unicouple1. Pull Unicouple and its hoses completely out fromstorage compartment located at rear of dishwasherand attach it to the faucet adapter.2. Attach the Unicoupleconnector to thefaucet adapter bydepressing thecollar at the topof the connector.When Unicoupleis all the way uponto the adapter,release the collar. It will thensnap into position to lock the Unicouple in place.The Unicouple’s small hose carries water fromthe faucet to the dishwasher. Its large hose carriesdrain water to the sink. Be sure Unicouple ispointing toward the sink bowl drain opening andthe sink drain is open for water that will drain fromyour dishwasher. If your dishwasher drains into adisposer, operate the disposer until it is completelyempty before starting the dishwasher.3. Turn hot water fully on before starting the dishwasher.How to Disconnect Your Dishwasher1. Remove the power cord plug from the wallreceptacle.2. Disconnect Unicouple from faucet adapter.NOTE: When motor stops at the end of the finalrinse, the Unicouple can be disconnected and returnedto storage.How to Disconnect the Unicouple from Faucet Adapter1. Turn off the hot water.2. Release the water pressure by depressingthe pressure release button. This relieves waterpressure and protects you, and the room, fromsevere splashing.3. Release Unicouple from faucet by depressingthe collar at the top of the Unicouple connector.4
