Aluminum residuessometimes appear as scratches on thecooktop but can be removed if cleanedimmediately. Because of its low meltingpoint, thin weight aluminum should notbe used.Copper Bottom:Copper may leave residues which canappear as scratches. The residues canbe removed, as long as the cooktopis cleaned immediately. However, donot let these pots boil dry. Overheatedmetal can bond to glass cooktops. Anoverheated copper bottom pot will leavea residue that will permanently stain thecooktop if not removed immediately.Enamel (painted) on Cast Iron:recommended if bottom of pan is coatedAvoid/Not RecommendedEnamel (painted) on Steel:Heating empty pans can causepermanent damage to cooktop glass.The enamel can melt and bond to theceramic cooktop.Glass-ceramic:Poor performance.
