These modes are described below.Refer to the Cooking Guide section for recommendations for specific foods. Remember, your new oven may performdifferently than the oven it is replacing.Baking ModesSelect a mode for baking based on the type and quantityof food you are preparing. When preparing baked goodssuch as cakes, cookies, and pastries always preheatthe oven first. Follow recipe recommendations for foodplacement. If no guidelines are provided, center food inthe oven.BakeThe bake mode is intended for single rack cooking. Thismode uses heat primarily from the lower element butalso from the upper element to cook food. To use thismode press the Bake pad, use the +- pads to set thedesired temperature, and then press Start. Preheating isgenerally recommended when using this mode.Convection BakeThe Convection Bake mode is intended for baking onmultiple racks at the same time. This mode uses heatfrom the upper and lower elements, along with airmovement from the convection fan to enhance cookingevenness. Baking time might be slightly longer formultiple racks than what would be expected for a singlerack. To use this mode press the Convection Bakepad, enter a temperature, and then press Start. Alwayspreheat when using this mode. When baking moredelicate foods like cookies and cakes, it is recommendedto reduce the input temperature by 25°F for improvedcooking performance.Broiling Modes0RQLWRUIRRGFORVHO\ZKLOHEURLOLQJ8VHFDXWLRQZKHQbroiling on upper rack positions as placing food closer tothe broil element increases smoking, spattering, and thepossibility of fats igniting. For best performance centerfood below the broil heating element.Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjustrack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to thefood. Place foods closer to the broil element when aseared surface and rare interior is desired. Thicker foodsand foods that need to be cooked through should bebroiled on a rack position farther from the broiler or byusing Broil Lo.Broil HiThe Broil Hi mode uses intense heat from the upperelement to sear foods. To use this mode press the Broilpad once and then press Start. It is not necessary topreheat when using this mode.Broil LoThe Broil Lo mode uses less intense heat from the upperelement to cook food thoroughly while also producingsurface browning. The door may be closed or open whenXVLQJ%URLO/R8VH%URLO/RIRUWKLFNHUFXWVRIPHDWDQGor foods that you would like cooked all the way through.To use this mode press the Broil pad twice and thenpress Start.
