Do not use any sharp items toremove the film. Remove all of the film before usingthe appliance for the first time.To ensure no damage is done to the finish of theproduct, the safest way to remove the adhesive frompackaging tape on new appliances is an applicationof a household liquid dishwashing detergent. Applywith a soft cloth and allow to soak.NOTE: The adhesive must be removed from all parts.It cannot be removed if it is baked on.Control KnobsThe control knobs may be removed for easiercleaning. Make sure the knobs are in the OFFpositions and pull them straight off the stems forcleaning.The knobs can be cleaned in a dishwasher or theymay also be washed with soap and water. Makesure the inside of the knobs are dry before replacing.Replace the knobs, in the OFF position to ensureproper placement.Porcelain Enamel Cooktop (on some models)The porcelain enamel finish is sturdy butbreakable if misused. This finish is acid-resistant. However, any acidic foods spilled(such as fruit juices, tomato or vinegar) shouldnot be permitted to remain on the finish.If acids spill on the cooktop while it is hot, usea dry paper towel or cloth to wipe it up rightaway. When the surface has cooled, wash withsoap and water. Rinse well.For other spills such as fat spatterings, washwith soap and water or cleansing powdersafter the surface has cooled. Rinse well. Polishwith a dry cloth.Care and cleaning of the range.If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, besure the anti-tip device is reengaged properly when the range isreplaced.
