Lift-Off Oven DoorThe oven door is removable,but it is heavy. You may needhelp removing and replacing thedoor. Do not lift the door by thehandle. This can cause the glassto break or can cause damage tothe door.To remove the door, open it afew inches to the special stopposition that will hold the dooropen. Grasp firmly on each sideand lift the door straight up andoff the hinges.CARE AND CLEANING(continued)NOTE: Be careful not to place hands between thehinge and the oven door frame as the hinge couldsnap back and pinch fingers.To replace the door, make sure the hinges are in thespecial stop position. Position the slots in the bottomof the door squarely over the hinges. Then lower thedoor slowly and evenly over both hinges at the sametime. If the hinges snap back against the oven frame,pull them back out.TO CLEAN THE DOOR:Inside of the door:l Because the area inside the gasket is cleaned duringthe self clean cycle, you do not need to clean thisby hand. Any soap left on the liner causes additionalstains when the oven is heated.. The area outside the gasket can be cleaned witha scouring pad.l Do not rub or clean the door gasket—thefiberglass material of the gasket has an extremelylow resistance to abrasion. An intact and well-fitting oven door gasket is essential for energy-efficient oven operation and good baking results.If you notice the gasket becoming worn, frayed ordamaged in any way or if it has become displacedon the door, you should have it replaced.NOTE: The gasket is designed with a gap at thebottom to allow for proper air circulation.“’’-’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’4’’’’’”%’/nil I Inside GasketOutside of the door:. Use soap and water to thoroughly clean the top,sides and front of the oven door. Rinse well. Youmay also use a glass cleaner to clean the glass onthe outside of the door.. Spillage of marinades, fruit juices, tomato saucesand basting materials containing acids may causediscoloration and should be wiped up immediately.When the surface is cool, clean and rinse.c Do not use oven cleaners, cleansing powders orharsh abrasives on the outside of the door.Oven Light Replacement (on some models)CAUTION: Before replacing your oven light bulb,disconnect the electrical power to the range at themain fuse or circuit breaker panel. Be sure to letthe light cover and bulb cool completely.The oven light bulb is covered with a removableglass cover that is held in place with a bail-shapedwire. Remove the oven door, if desired, to reachcover easily.To remove:1. Hold a hand under thecover so it doesn’t fallwhen released. Withfingers of the samehand, firmly push backthe wire cover holder.DO NOT REMOVE ANY SCREWS TOREMOVE COVER.2. Do not touch hot bulb with a wet cloth. Replacebulb with a 40-watt household appliance bulb.To replace cover:1. Place it into the groove of the light receptacle. Pullthe wire forward to the center of the cover until itsnaps into place. When in place, the wire holds thecover firmly. Be certain the wire is in thedepression in the center of the cover.2. Connect electrical power to the range.Lift off the cover. Wire cove;holder28 —
