Care and cleaning of the range.Lift-Off Oven DoorThe oven door is removable, but it is heavy. You mayneed help removing and replacing the door.To remove the door, open it a few inches tothe special stop position that will hold thedoor open. Grasp firmly on each side andlift the door straight up and off the hinges.NOTE: Be careful not to place hands between thehinge and the oven door frame as the hinge couldsnap back and pinch fingers.To replace the door, make sure the hinges arein the special stop position. Position theslots in the bottom of the door squarely overthe hinges. Then lower the door slowly andevenly over both hinges at the same time. Ifthe hinges snap back against the ovenframe, pull them back out.To clean the inside of the door:n Do not immerse the door in water.n Because the area inside the gasket iscleaned during the self clean cycle, youdo not need to clean this by hand. Anysoap left on the liner causes additionalstains when the oven is heated.n The area outside the gasket can becleaned with a soap-filled steel wool orplastic pad.To clean the outside of the door:n Use soap and water to thoroughly cleanthe top, sides and front of the oven door.Rinse well. You may also use a glasscleaner to clean the glass on the outsideof the door.n Spillage of marinades, fruit juices, tomatosauces and basting materials containingacids may cause discoloration and shouldbe wiped up immediately. When thesurface is cool, clean and rinse.n Do not use oven cleaners, cleansingpowders or harsh abrasives on the outsideof the door.Broiler Pan and GridAfter broiling, remove the broiler pan fromthe oven. Remove the grid from the pan.Carefully pour out grease from the pan intoa proper container. Wash and rinse thebroiler pan and grid in hot water with asoap-filled or plastic scouring pad.If food has burned on, sprinkle the gridwith detergent while hot and cover with wetpaper towels or a dishcloth. Soaking the panwill remove burned-on foods.The broiler pan and grid may be cleanedwith a commercial oven cleaner.Both the broiler pan and grid can also becleaned in a dishwasher.Do not store a soiled broiler pan and gridanywhere in the range.CAUTION: Do not clean the broiler pan or grid in aself-cleaning oven.Lift the door straight up and off thehinges.The gasket is designed with a gapat the bottom to allow for proper aircirculation.Do not rub or clean the doorgasket—it has an extremely lowresistance to abrasion.If you notice the gasket becomingworn, frayed or damaged in anyway or if it has become displacedon the door, you should have itreplaced.GridPanOperating Instructions Safety InstructionsInstallation InstructionsTroubleshooting TipsCustomer Service28
