It operates on a 120-volt,60-Hz power supply. A separate circuit, protected by a 15-amp time-delay fuseor circuit breaker, is required.• A properly grounded 3-prong receptacleshould be located within reach of cooktop’sfour foot power cord.IMPORTANT: (Please read carefully.) FORPERSONAL SAFETY, THIS APPLIANCE MUSTBE PROPERLY GROUNDED.The power cord of this appliance isequipped with a three-prong (grounding)plug which mates with a standard three-prong grounding wall receptacle to minimizethe possibility of electric shock hazard fromthis appliance. The customer should havethe wall receptacle and circuit checked bya qualified electrician to make sure thereceptacle is properly grounded andhas correct polarity.Where a standard two-prong wallreceptacle is encountered, it is the personalresponsibility and obligation of the customerto have it replaced with a properly groundedthree-prong wall receptacle.Do Not, Under Any Circumstances, Cut OrRemove The Third (ground) Prong From ThePower Cord.Do not use an extension cord.CLGAS SUPPLY:These cooktops are designed to operate onnatural gas at 4″ of water column pressureor on LP gas at 10″ of water columnpressure.• These cooktops are shipped from thefactory set for natural gas. If you decide touse this cooktop with LP gas, conversionadjustments must be made by a servicetechnician or other qualified person.• The pressure regulator must be connected inseries with the manifold of the cooktop andmust remain in series with the supply lineregardless of type of gas being used. For proper operation, the maximum inletpressure to the regulator must be no morethan 10″ water column pressure for naturalgas and 14″ water column pressure for LPgas.• When checking the regulator, the inletpressure must be at least 1″ greater than theregulator output setting. If the regulator isset for 4″ of water column pressure, the inletpressure must be at least 5″. If the regulatoris set for 10″ of water column pressure, theinlet pressure must be at least 11″. For easeof installation, and if local codes permit, thegas supply line into the cooktop should be1/2″ or 3/4″ ID flexible metal applianceconnector, three to five feet long.NOTE: Purchase a new flexible line. DO NOTUSE AN OLD PREVIOUSLY USED LINE.• Make gas connection through rear wall, oron cabinet floor at rear, as illustrated.Gas pipelocationElectricaloutlet 12″abovecabinet floor(mount onside or backcabinet wall2″ min. fromcenterline)3″Min29 1⁄2″ 2″Min4″ (to clear toe kick area)
