24INSTALLING THE FOAM GASKETDo not install the cooktop into the countertopwithout installing the foam gasket as shown.It protects the bottom edge of the glass fromthe countertop and seals the cooktop againstspills.Remove the cooktop along with its shippingpad from the shipping box. Remove theshipping block from the downdraft ventopening and place it under the shippingpad to provide level support.CAUTION: GLASS IS FRAGILE.DO NOT BUMP EDGE OF GLASS DURINGINSTALLATION.Locate the foam gasket tape included withyour cooktop.Peel off the white backing to install the foamgasket tape on the bottom side of the cooktopglass as shown.Undersideof GlassFoamGasketTape1⁄8″ max. toGlass EdgeFoam Gasket Installation Notes:• The foam gasket tape should be installedwithin 1/8″ of the edge of the glass.
