CONVERSIONYour range, like so many other household items, is heavy and can settle into soft floor coverings suchas cushioned vinyl or carpeting.FLOORING UNDER THE RANGEWARNING: These adjustments must be madeby a qualified service technician inaccordance with the manufacturer’sinstructions and all codes and requirementsof the authority having jurisdiction.Failure to follow these instructions couldresult in serious injury or property damage.The qualified agency performing this workassumes responsibility for the conversion.When moving the range on this type offlooring, it should be installed on a 1/4″ thicksheet of plywood (or similar material) asfollows:When the floor covering ends at thefront of the range, the area that the range willrest on should be built up with plywood to thesame level or higher than the floor covering.This will allow the range to be moved forcleaning or servicing.Use a 13⁄8″ open-end or adjustable wrenchto equally back out the four legs. Theflanges (rims) below the sides of thecooktop must be raised above the top ofthe countertop. Carefully slide the rangeinto its installation space. Observe that itis clearing the countertop.Place a spirit level or a glass measuringcup partially filled with water on one ofthe oven shelves to check for levelness. Ifusing a spirit level, take two readings, withthe level placed diagonally first in onedirection and then the other.Adjust the four legs carefully. Level therange front to back and side to side.
