Follow BEFORE CLEANING ANY PART OF THEthese directions carefully in caring for your range to RANGE.assure safe and proper maintenance.Burner AssemblyThe burner assemblies should be washed regularlyand, of course, after spillovers.Turn all the controls to OFF before removing theburner parts.The electrode of the spark igniter is exposedbeyond the top of the burner. When cleaningthe burner bowl, be careful not to snag theelectrode of the spark igniter with your cleaningcloth. Be careful not to turn on any cooktopcontrols while cleaning the burner bowls. Aslight electrical shock might result which couldcause you to knock over hot cookware.The burner grates, burner tops and trim rings can belifted off, making them easy to clean. Removing themgives you access-to the burner bodies and burnerbowls. (To avoid snagging cloth on spark igniters,ieave burner tops in place when cleaning burnerbowls.) There is a locating pin tliat fits into anindentation at the bottom of the bowls. The pin allowsthe grate to sit level in one direction only. Do notremove the pin. Do not remove the burner bowlsfrom glass top units. Clean the burner grates, caps,and bowls with abrasive cleaners or soap filled steelwool pads. Soak stubborn soil. Dry them with acloth—don’t reassemble them wet.To reassemble: Place the trim ring onto the burnerbody first. Before replacing the burner top, firstexamine the two tabs on its underside. The tabs are tofit into receiving slots in burner head.
