Rinse and polish witha dry cloth.Do not allow the water or cleanerto run down inside the oven doorwhile cleaning.Care and cleaning of the oven.Control PanelIt’s a good idea to wipe the controlpanel after each use. Clean with mildsoap and water or vinegar and water,rinse with clean water and polish drywith a soft cloth.Do not use abrasive cleansers, strongliquid cleansers, plastic scouring padsor oven cleansers on the controlpanel—they will damage the finish.A 50/50 solution of vinegar and hotwater works well.Broiler Pan & GridDo not clean the broiler pan or grid in a self-cleaning oven.After broiling, remove the broiler panfrom the oven. Remove the grid from thepan. Carefully pour out the grease fromthe pan into a proper container.Wash and rinse the broiler pan and gridin hot water with a soap-filled or plasticscouring pad.If food has burned on, sprinkle the gridwith detergent while hot and cover withwet paper towels or a dishcloth. Soakingthe pan will remove burned-on foods.Both the broiler pan and grid may becleaned with a commercial oven cleaner.Both the broiler pan and grid can also becleaned in a dishwasher.Do not store a soiled broiler pan and gridanywhere in the oven.After broiling, remove the broilerpan from the oven.Painted SurfacesClean with soap and water or a vinegarand water solution.Do not use commercial oven cleaners, cleansingpowders, steel wool or harsh abrasives on anypainted surface.Oven ShelvesClean the oven shelves with an abrasivecleanser or scrubbing pad. After cleaning,rinse the shelves with clean water anddry with a clean cloth.NOTE: The oven shelves may be cleaned in theself-cleaning oven. However, the shelves willdarken in color, lose their luster and become hardto slide if cleaned during the self-cleaning cycle.You can wipe the shelf supports with cookingoil after self-cleaning to make the shelves slidemore easily.
