Aluminum FoilYou can use aluminum foil to line thebroiler pan and broiler grid. However, you must mold the foil tightly to the gridand cut slits in it just like the grid.Without the slits, the foil will prevent fatand meat juices from draining into thebroiler pan. The juices could becomehot enough to catch on fire. If youdo not cut the slits, you are essentiallyfrying, not broiling.Do not use aluminum foil on the bottom ofthe oven.Never entirely cover a rack withaluminum foil. This will disturb the heatcirculation and result in poor baking.A smaller sheet of foil may be used tocatch a spillover by placing it on a lowerrack several inches below the food.Cut slits in the foil just like the grid.Safety Instructions Operating InstructionsSafety Instructions Operating Instructions Care and Cleaning Troubleshooting Tips Consumer Support11Using the oven. www.GEAppliances.comTo avoid possible burns, place the racks in the desired position before you turn the oven on.Before you begin…The racks have stops, so that when placedcorrectly on the supports (A through G),they will stop before coming completelyout, and will not tilt. When placing and removing cookware, pull the rack out until it stops. To remove a rack, pull it toward you, tiltthe front end up and pull it out.To replace, place the end of the rack(stop-locks) on the support, tilt up thefront and push the rack in.CAUTION: When you are using therack in the lowest position (A), you will need touse caution when pulling the rack out.
