Be careful whenremoving and lifting the door.To remove the door:Fully open the door.Pull the hinge locks down towardthe door frame, to the unlockedposition. A tool, such as a smallflat-blade screwdriver, may berequired.Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top. Do not lift the door by thehandle.Close door to the door removalposition, which is halfway betweenthe broil stop position and fullyclosed.Lift door up and out until the hingearm is clear of the slot.To replace the door:Firmly grasp both sides of the doorat the top. Do not lift the door by thehandle.With thedoor at thesame angle asthe removalposition, seat thenotch stop ofthe hinge arminto the bottomedge of the hinge slot. The notch inthe hinge arm must be fully seatedinto the bottom of the slot.Fully open the door until it isparallel to the floor. If the door willnot fully open, the notch stop is notseated correctly in the bottom edgeof the slot. Werecommend that you wear rubber gloveswhen cleaning the range.Soap and water will normally do the job.Heavy spattering or spillovers mayrequire cleaning with a mild abrasivecleaner. Soapy, wet metal pads may alsobe used.Do not allow food spills with a high sugar or acidcontent (such as tomatoes, sauerkraut, fruit juicesor pie filling) to remain on the surface. They maycause a dull spot even after cleaning.Household ammonia may make thecleaning job easier. Place 1/2 cup ina shallow glass or pottery container ina cold oven overnight. The ammoniafumes will help loosen the burned-ongrease and food.If necessary, you may use an oven cleaner.Follow the package directions. Do not spray oven cleaner on the electricalcontrols and switches because it could causea short circuit and result in sparking or fire. Do not allow a film from the cleaner to build upon the temperature sensor—it could cause theoven to heat improperly. (The sensor is locatedat the top of the oven.) Carefully wipe thesensor clean after each oven cleaning, beingcareful not to move the sensor as a change inits position could affect how the oven bakes. Do not spray any oven cleaner on the ovendoor, handles or any exterior surface of theoven, cabinets or painted surfaces. The cleanercan damage these surfaces.15
