You can havea small leak and therefore a faint gas smell ifthe connections are not completely tight.Finding a gas leak is NOT a do-it-yourselfprocedure. Some leaks can only be found withthe burner control in the ON position and foryour protection it must be done by a qualifiedservice technician. Never use an open flame tolocate a leak.• Never connect an unregulated gas line to therange top burners.• Your range top burners are for outdoor useonly. Tested in accordance with ANSI Z21.58,Latest Edition standard for outdoor cookinggas appliances.• Check your local building codes for theproper method of installation. In the absenceof local codes, this unit should be installed inaccordance with the National Fuel Gas CodeNo. Z223.1, Latest Edition and the NationalElectrical Code ANSI-NFPA No. 70, LatestEdition.• Do not try lighting this appliance withoutreading the lighting instructions in this manual.• Always remove the cover before lighting therange top burners.• Always wait 5 minutes before relightingthe burners to let any accumulated gasdissipate.• Read this manual carefully and completelybefore using your range top burners toreduce the risk of fire, burn hazard or otherinjury. Please retain this manual for futurereference.• Keep the area surrounding the range topburners clear and free from combustiblematerials, gasoline, other flammable liquidsor vapors, charcoal lighter fluid and trash.• Do not obstruct the flow of combustion andventilation air to the range top burners. Oncart-mounted units, keep the area beneaththe burners free of debris. If the range topburners are built in do not store gas cylindersbeneath the unit without adequate ventilation.
