21How to Set an Immediate Start and Automatic StopThe lower oven will turn on immediately and cookfor a selected length of time. At the end of thecooking time, the oven will turn off automatically.Make sure the clock shows the correcttime of day.Touch theCONVECTION BAKEMULTI/1 RACK pad and then the2 pad for multi-rack convectionbaking. This mode is used forcooking food items on more thanone rack (i.e., 2, 3 or more racks)at the same time in convection bake.SeeMulti-Rack Baking section formore information.Touch theCONVECTION BAKE MULTI/1 RACK pad and then the1 pad forone-rack convection baking. Thismode is used for cooking food itemson only one rack in convection bake.Touch theCONVECTION ROAST padfor convection roasting.Touch the number pads to set theoven temperature.Touch theCOOK TIME pad.NOTE: If your recipe requires preheating, you mayneed to add additional time to the length of thecooking time.Touch the number pads to set thedesired length of cooking time. Theminimum cooking time you can setis 1 minute. The oven temperaturethat you set and the cooking time thatyou entered will be in the display.Touch theSTART pad.The oven will turnON, and the display willshow the cooking time countdown and thechanging temperature starting at 100°F.(The temperature display will start tochange once the oven temprature reaches100°F.) (on some models)You will hear a fan while cooking with these features. The fan will stop when the door is opened, but the heatwill not turn off.NOTE: Foods that spoil easily—such as milk, eggs, fish, stuffings, poultry and pork—should not be allowed to sitfor more than 1 hour before or after cooking. Room temperature promotes the growth of harmful bacteria.
