– 27 –10. Remove the 1/4-in. screw for the evaporatorfan ground wire.11. Remove the 1/4-in. evaporator fan bracketmounting screws (2), located at either side ofthe bracket.12. Remove the evaporator fan assembly.Evaporator ThermistorThe evaporator thermistor is snapped on to the topportion of the evaporator. This thermistor sendsevaporator temperature signals to the processor.The thermistor must be replaced when replacingthe evaporator fan.1. Complete evaporator fan procedure.2. The thermostat sendstemperature information to the processor. Thedefrost heater must be replaced when replacingthe thermostat.1. Remove the lower fan duct work from theevaporator cover.2. Remove the 1/4-in. evaporator cover screwsand remove the evaporator cover.3. Disconnect the defrost thermostat wiringconnector.4. The defrost heater heats theevaporator in the defrost mode of operation. Thethermostat must be replaced when replacing thedefrost heater.1. Complete defrost thermostat procedure.2.
