Please followdirections below to calibrate the dishwasher tothe hardness of your tap water.Determine the Hardness of Your Tap WaterIn the bag containing these instructions, you shouldfind a water hardness test strip package. Read theinstructions on the package, remove the test strip andfollow the instructions to determine the hardness levelof your tap water. You will use this information tocalibrate your dishwasher to dispense the optimalamount of detergent.Water hardness test strip indicationSet Control to Calibration ModeFrom the standby mode (dishwasher not runninga cycle and the panel lights on), enter the waterhardness selection mode.Control Calibration1. Close and latch the door (lights on, dishwashernot running).2. Press the COOKWARE and DELAY HOURS pads atthe same time for 3 seconds. The display will showa number 1 to 5. This is the water hardness valuecurrently set.3. Press the COOKWARE pad to raise the value orthe NORMAL pad to lower the value. Set the waterhardness value (1 to 5) to the number determinedwith the test strip and table at left.4.
