Installation Instructions15MOBILE HOME INSTALLATION1. Dryer MUST be exhausted outside (outdoors, notbeneath the mobile home) using metal ducting that willnot support combustion. Metal ducting must be 4″(10.16 cm) in diameter with no obstructions. Rigid metalduct is preferred.2. If the dryer is exhausted through the floor, the exhaustsystem MUST NOT terminate beneath the mobilehome. Termination MUST be securely fastened to themobile home structure.3. When installing a gas dryer into a mobile home, aprovision must be made for outside make-up air. Thisprovision is to be not less than twice the area of the dryerexhaust outlet.4. Gas dryers MUST be fastened to the floor using MobileHome Installation Kit Pub. No. 14–D346–33.5. See theExhaust System Checklist section for otherimportant venting information.6. Installation MUST conform to current ManufacturedHome Construction & Safety Standard (which is aFederal Regulation Title 24 CFR—Part 32–80) or,when such standard is not applicable, with AmericanNational Standard for Mobile Homes, ANSI/NFPA No.501B.
