It is heldin place by two Phillips-head machine screws and7 mm hex nuts.Transformer Resistance:Primary winding (black to white wires) - 7 Ω.Secondary winding (blue to brown wires) - 0.3 Ω.Check for 120 VAC between the white and blackwires. Check for 12 VAC between the blue andbrown wires.TriacThe triac controls the two hood lights. It is locatedinside the upper component box. It is held in placeby 2 Phillips-head machine screws and 7 mm hex-nuts.If the hood lamps flicker, the triac wire connectionsare incorrect. The triac can be checked for anelectrical short by removing the black lead wire andmeasuring the resistance between the two ¼-in.terminals (black and brown wires). Resistance shouldbe greater than 1M Ω.PTC BoardThe PTC board provides protection for the lightingcircuit during momentary power surges. It is locatedinside the upper component box.Motor CapacitorThe motor capacitor has a value of 25 μfd. It islocated inside the upper component box.UpperLowerPower Supply HousingWARNING: Components in the power supplyhousing are electrically HOT when voltage isconnected to the hood. The power supply housing is located above the fanhousing behind the duct cover. To access the powersupply housing, remove the duct cover, (see DuctCover) then remove the 2 Phillips-head screws thathold the power supply cover in place.Power Supply Housing CoverScrew ScrewThe transformer is located in the power supplyhousing. The triac, fuse holder, motor capacitor, andpower supply board are located in the power supplyhousing in separate upper and lower componentboxes.
