20Core temperature probeThe core temperature probe enables exact cooking tothe spot. It measures the temperature inside the foodbeing cooked. Automatic switching off when thedesired core temperature is reached ensures thateach food is cooked precisely.Use the included core temperature probe only. Youcan purchase one as a spare part from after-salesservice or in the online shop.The core temperature probe can be damaged attemperatures above 250°C. Therefore, only ever use itin your oven up to a temperature of 230°C.Always remove the core temperature probe from theoven after use. Never store it in the oven.After every use, clean the core temperature probe witha moist cloth. Do not wash it in a dishwasher!m Risk of electric shock!The insulation of an incompatible meat probe may bedamaged. Only use the meat probe which isrecommended for this appliance.m Risk of burns!The cooking interior and the core temperature probebecome very hot. Use oven mitts to plug and unplugthe core temperature probe.Inserting the core temperatureprobe in the food to be cookedInsert the core temperature probe in the food to becooked before you place it in the cooking interior.Insert the metal tip at the thickest point in the food tobe cooked. Make sure that the end of the tip isapproximately in the centre. It must not be placed inthe fat and must not touch any cookware or bones.If there are several pieces, insert the core temperatureprobe in the middle of the thickest piece.Insert the core temperature probe completely, ifpossible.In the case of poultry, make sure that the tip of thecore temperature probe is not in the cavity in thecentre, but in the meat between the belly and upperleg.
