Always open the appliance door as faras it will go. Ensure that the appliance door does notswing back. Avoid contact with the inside of theappliance door.The cooking compartment has four shelf positions. Theshelf positions are counted from the bottom up.Caution!– Do not place anything on the cooking compartmentfloor. Do not cover it with aluminium foil. A build-upof heat could damage the appliance.– Do not slide any accessories between the shelfpositions, or they may tip.Inserting accessoriesThe accessories are equipped with a locking function.The locking function prevents the accessories fromtilting when they are pulled out. The accessories mustbe inserted into the cooking compartment correctly forthe tilt protection to work properly.When inserting the wire rack, check▯ that the lug (a) is pointing downwards▯ that the safety bar on the wire rack is at the backand facing upwards.Switching on1 Set the required heating mode using the functionselector. The chosen heating mode and the defaulttemperature are displayed.2 If you want to change the default temperature:set the required temperature with the rotaryselector.The preheating symbol ’ appears on the display. Thebar continuously shows the preheating status. When theset temperature is reached, a signal sounds and thepreheating symbol ’ goes off.Note: The oven interior lighting stays switched off at atemperature setting below 70°CSwitching off:Turn the function selector to 0.Rapid heatingWith the "Rapid heat-up" function, your appliancereaches the desired temperature particularly quickly inthe top heating, bottom heating and top/bottom heatingtypes of heating.To ensure an even cooking result, do not place yourfood in the cooking compartment until "Rapid heat-up"is complete and the ’ heat-up symbol goes out.Note: The "Rapid heat-up" function is preset in thefactory settings. In the basic settings, you can select ’Rapid heat-up or “ Heat-up.Safety shut-offFor your protection, the appliance is equipped with anautomatic safety shut-off. Any heating process isswitched off after 12 hours if the oven is not operated inthis time. A message appears in the display.Exception:The long-term timer has been programmed.Set the function selector to 0, then the appliance can beoperated again as usual.DD
