• 30 •• 30 •The machine is adjusted tobrew a true Italian espressocoffee. This feature may slightlylengthen the brewing time, allowingthe intense flavour of the coffee todevelop fully.Using Pre-ground CoffeeThis function allows usingpre-ground and decaffein-ated coffee.Pre-ground coffee must be poured intothe appropriate compartment positionednext to the coffee bean hopper. Only useground coffee for espresso machines andnever coffee beans or instant coffee.Note:• If no pre-ground coffee is pouredinto the compartment, only waterwill be dispensed;• If the dose is excessive and 2 ormore measuring scoops of coffeeare used, the machine will notbrew the product. Also in this case,the machine will run an emptycycle and discharge any groundcoffee into the coffee groundsdrawer.To brew coffee:• Press and release the “ “ buttonuntil the pre-ground coffee functionicon is displayed.• Lift the pre-ground coffee compartmentcover.• Add 1 only 1 scoop of pre-groundcoffee to the compartment. Use themeasuring scoop supplied with themachine to perform this operation.Then, close the cover.Warning: Only add pre-groundcoffee to the compartment.Other substances and objects maycause severe damage to the machine.This damage will not be covered bywarranty.Press and release:the“ “ button for an espresso coffee;the“ “ button for a long coffee.• The brewing cycle then starts. Afterthe prebrewing cycle, coffee begins tocome out of the dispensing spout.• Coffee brewing stops automaticallywhen the pre-programmed level isreached; however, it is possible to in-terrupt coffee brewing by pressing thebutton initially pressed.After dispensing the product, thecoffee beans configuration of the ma-chine is restored.Repeat the operations de-scribed above to brew othercoffees.Steady onSteady onDISPENSING HOTWATERWarning: At the beginning,short spurts of hot water maycome out. Danger of scalding. The hotwater wand may reach high tempera-tures.
