GNS 430 Pilot’s Guide and ReferenceAPPENDIX ADATA CARD USEA-1APPENDIX A: DATA CARD USEThe Jeppesen NavData card, and the Terrain DataCard (if applicable) supplied with the GNS 430 can beinstalled or removed when the GNS 430 is on or off. If theNavData card is not present when the unit is turned on, a‘No Jeppesen Aviation Database - Limited to user definedwaypoints’ message appears on the Database ConfirmationPage. If the NavData card is removed during operation,a ‘Data card removed - Unit will restart in 30 seconds’warning is displayed. A counter begins to count downand, if the card is not replaced within 30 seconds, theGNS 430 automatically re-initializes.
