39GPSmap 60CGPS NavigationUsing RoutesList of Turns for an Active Routeusing the “Follow Roads” optionPreview of Turn 4 of 9 Turns on aRouteNavigating a RouteAfter you have created a route, you can begin navigation immediatelyor save it to the Saved Routes list as explained on page 37.When you are navigating a route, a guidance message and graphicview of turns in the route will display as you approach each one. Usingthe “Follow Roads” option from the Routing Setup Page increases thenumber of turns and displays an Active Route page with a list of turns. Ifyou selected the “Off Road” option you can view only the list of points for aroute from the Active Route Page. (See Routing Setup on page 50.)To Preview the Turns for an Active Route:1. From the Routes Page, highlight the route from the Routes list.2. Press ENTER to display the Route Page for the route.3. Highlight the “Navigate” button and press ENTER to beginnavigation and display the route on the Map Page.4. To view the list of turns on the route, press the PAGE key todisplay the Active Route Page. The view any individual turn onthe list, use the ROCKER key to highlight it and press ENTER.5. The page displays the turn and guidance text and a small fi eldat the bottom showing the turn number in sequence and totalturns in the route. To scroll through all turn previews, use theROCKER key Up and Down arrows. To exit the preview page,press the QUIT key.6. To stop navigating, select “Stop Navigation” from the Map orCompass Page and press ENTER.This fi eld changesto red at thesecond warningbeep, when you areabout to reach theturning point.
