32GPSMAP 60CSx Owner’s ManualBASICOPERATION>Creating and Using RoutesRoute navigation allows you to create a sequence ofintermediate waypoints that lead you to your finaldestination. The GPSMAP 60CSx lets you store 50routes with up to 250 points each.Creating a RouteYou can create or modify a route using the RoutesPage, and you can add waypoints to a route fromthe Find Menu. You can create more complex routesusing a PC and MapSource mapping programs andthen transfer them to the unit memory. Auto-Routes,which are generated when you select Go To for aFind item, map item, or waypoint, cannot be saved.Saved routes with more than 50 waypoints cannot benavigated using the Follow Roads option.To create a route:1.PressMENUtwice to open the Main Menu.2.Highlight theRoutesicon, and pressENTERto open the Routes Page.3.Use theROCKERto highlight theNewbutton,and pressENTERto open the Route Page.4.With thefield highlighted,pressENTERto open the Find Menu.5.Use the Find Menu to select a route waypointfrom one of the Find Menu groups, and openthe information page for the selected waypoint,city, exit, point of interest, and so on.6.Highlight theUsebutton, and pressENTERtoadd it to the route.7.To add more points to the route, repeat steps 4to 6.
