Use lithium batteries whenoperating the device in below freezing conditions.Installing the NiMH Battery PackThe device operates using the optional NiMH battery pack(purchased separately) or two AA batteries (Installing Batteries).1 Turn the D-ring counter-clockwise, and pull up to remove thecover.2 Locate the battery pack À.3 Insert the battery pack, observing polarity.4 Gently press the battery pack into place.5 Replace the battery cover, and turn the D-ring clockwise.Charging the Battery PackNOTICETo prevent corrosion, thoroughly dry the mini-USB port, theweather cap, and the surrounding area before charging orconnecting to a computer.Do not attempt to use the device to charge a battery that wasnot provided by Garmin®.
