The input/output lines on your Rino 130 unitare RS-232 compatible, allowing easy interface to a widerange of external devices, including PC’s, differentialbeacon receivers, marine autopilots, and /or a second GPSreceiver.The NMEA 0183 version 3.0 interface format issupported by the Rino 130 and enables the unit to driveup to three NMEA devices.NMEA 0183 Version 3.0 Approved Sentences:GPGGA, GPGLL, GPGSA, GPGSV, GPRMB, GPRMC,GPRTE, GPVTG, GPWPL, GPBODGARMIN Proprietary Sentences:PGRME (estimated error), PGRMM (datum string),PGRMZ (altitude), PSLIB (beacon receiver control)DGPS (Differential GPS) corrections are accepted inRTCM-SC-104 version 2.0 format through the ‘DataIN’ line. The Garmin GBR 21 and GBR 23 are therecommended beacon receivers for use with the Rino130. Other beacon receivers with the correct RTCMformat may be used, but may not correctly display statusor allow tuning control from the GPS unit.The Rino 130 may be hard-wired to a serial connectorusing a Data Only Cable. Refer to the wiring diagram andthe Rino 130 unit data connection illustrated below.The PC Interface Cable provided with this unit allowsyou to connect your Rino 130 to a PC-compatiblecomputer’s serial port.
