Operator's Manual Sixth Edition • First Printing46 GS-30 • GS-32 • GS-46 Part No. 227286Operating InstructionsTo retract the outrigger:1 Press and hold the function enablebutton.2 Press and hold the outrigger retractbutton.Release the function enable and the outriggerretract buttons once the outriggers are off theground. After approximately 5 seconds, theoutrigger indicator lights will turn off. All functionsare now restored.Note: The machine drive speeds are reduced thefirst time the drive function is enabled afterretracting the outriggers. The drive speeds arerestored to normal after driving for approximately 6seconds.To Steer1 Press the drive function selectbutton.2 Press and hold the function enable switch onthe control handle.3 Turn the steer wheels with the thumb rockerswitch located on the top of the control handle.To Drive1 Press the drive function select button.2 Press and hold the function enable switch onthe control handle.3 Increase speed: Slowly move the control handleoff center.Decrease speed: Slowly move the controlhandle toward center.Stop: Return the control handle to center orrelease the function enable switch.Use the color-coded direction arrows on theplatform controls and on the platform to identify thedirection the machine will travel.Machine travel speed is restricted when theplatform is raised.Battery condition will affect machine performance.Machine drive speed and function speed will dropwhen the battery level indicator is flashing.To reduce drive speedThe drive controls can operate in two differentdrive speed modes. When the drive speed buttonlight is on, slow drive speed mode is active. Whenthe button light is off, fast drive speed mode isactive.Press the drive speed button to select the desireddrive speed.Driving on a slopeDetermine the slope and side slope ratings for themachine and determine the slope grade.GS-1530, GS-1532, GS-2032, GS-2046and GS-2646Maximum slope rating,stowed 30% (17°)Maximum side slope rating,stowed 30% (17°)GS-1930, GS-1932, GS-2632, GS-3232and GS-3246Maximum slope rating,stowed 25% (14°)Maximum side slope rating,stowed 25% (14°)Note: Slope rating is subject to ground conditionsand adequate traction.Press the drive speed button to the fast drivespeed mode.
