Operator's ManualFourth Edition • Third PrintingPart No. 1000033 GS-2032 • GS-2632 27Transport and Lifting InstructionsObserve and Obey:Common sense and planning must be appliedto control the movement of the machine whenlifting it with a crane or forklift.The transport vehicle must be parked on a levelsurface.The transport vehicle must be secured toprevent rolling while the machine is beingloaded.Be sure the vehicle capacity, loading surfacesand chains or straps are sufficient to withstandthe machine weight. See the serial plate for themachine weight.The machine must be on a level surface orsecured before releasing the brakes.Do not allow the rails to fall when the snap pinsare removed. Maintain a firm grasp on the railswhen the rails are lowered.Do not drive the machine on a slope thatexceeds the slope or side slope rating. SeeDriving on a Slope in the Operating Instructionssection.If the slope of the transport vehicle bed exceedsthe maximum slope rating, the machine mustbe loaded and unloaded using a winch asdescribed.Brake ReleaseOperation1 Chock the wheels to prevent the machine fromrolling.2 Be sure the winch line is properly secured to thedrive chassis tie points and the path is clear ofall obstructions.3 Push in the black brake release knob to openthe brake valve.4 Pump the red brake release pump knob.After the machine is loaded:1 Chock the wheels to prevent the machine fromrolling.2 Press the drive function select button. Pressand hold the function enable switch on thecontrol handle. Move the control handle offcenter to reset the brakes.Towing the Genie GS-2032 and the GS-2632 isnot recommended. If the machine must be towed,do not exceed 2 mph / 3.2 km/h.
