Operator's Manual Seventh Edition • Third PrintingInspections36 S-85 Part No. T107108Test Limited Drive Speed40 Press down the foot switch.41 Raise the boom to just above horizontal.42 Slowly move the control handle to full driveposition.Result: The maximum achievable drive speedwith the boom raised should not exceed 1 ft /30 cm per second.43 Lower the boom to the stowed position.44 Extend the boom 18 inches / 46 cm.45 Slowly move the control handle to full driveposition.Result: The maximum achievable drive speedwith the boom extended should not exceed 1 ft/ 30 cm per second.If the drive speed with the boom raised orextended exceeds 1 ft / 30 cm per second,immediately tag and remove the machine fromservice.Test Emergency Controls46 Shut off the engine.47 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to theon position.48 Press down the foot switch.49 Simultaneously hold the emergency powerswitch on and activate each function controlhandle or toggle switch.Note: To conserve battery power, test eachfunction through a partial cycle.Result: All boom and steer functions shouldoperate. Drive functions should not operatewith emergency power.
