Avoid spilling orcontacting battery acid. Neutralizebattery acid spills with bakingsoda and water.1 Put on protective clothing and eye wear.2 Be sure that the battery cable connections aretight and free of corrosion.3 Be sure that the battery hold-down brackets aresecure.4 Remove the battery vent caps.5 Check the battery acid level. If needed,replenish with distilled water to the bottom ofthe battery fi ll tube. Do not overfi ll.6 Install the vent caps.Maintenance
