If the super multi drive module is replaced by a secondary battery pack orhard disk drive, you cannot use the Smart Card reader.With an embedded microcontroller, smart cards have the unique ability to store largeamounts of data, carry out their own on-card functions (e.g., encryption and mutualauthentication), and interact intelligently with a smart card reader.To insert a smart card:1. Locate the smart card slot on the left of the computer and open the cover.2. Slide the smart card, with its label and embedded computer chip facing up intothe slot.3.
