19Section 4 Operation4.1 Using an sc controllerBefore using the sensor in combination with an sc controller, referto the controller user manual for navigation information.4.2 Sensor setupWhen a sensor is installed for the first time, the serial number of thesensor is displayed as the sensor name. The sensor name can bechanged as follows:1. Select MAIN MENU.2. From the Main Menu, select SENSOR SETUP and confirm.3. Select the appropriate sensor if more than one sensor isattached and confirm.4. Select CONFIGURE and confirm.5. Select EDIT NAME and edit the name. Confirm or cancel toreturn to the Sensor Setup menu.4.3 Sensor data loggingThe sc controller provides a data log and an event log for eachsensor. The data log contains the measured data at selectedintervals. The event log contains a large number of events thatoccur on the instruments, such as configuration changes, alarmsand warnings, etc. The data log and the event log can be exportedto CSV format. For information on downloading the logs, refer to thesc controller user manual.4.4 Sensor diagnostics menuSELECT SENSORERROR LIST Displays all actual error codes.WARNING LIST Displays all actual warnings.
