7-15 - DASH / AUTOSECTION 7 – SPRAY SYSTEMSSPRAY BOOMS - 60/80/90’The Spray Booms are controlled by an electro-hydraulic system. This system consists ofoperator-manipulated switches (located on theside console and the hydrostatic drive controlhandle) and hydraulic cylinders (attached to thebooms), which provide lift, level, horizontalextension, and vertical extension.Power LinesHagie Manufacturing Company cannot stressenough that extreme caution must be taken whenoperating equipment around power lines. Ensurethere is more than sufficient clearance whentransporting, unfolding and folding the boom, orspraying near power lines.CAUTIONWhen operating or positioning thebooms, observe the following safetyprecautions. Failure to comply mayresult in injury or equipment damage.• Do not unfold/fold boom extensions whilemain boom is in cradle.• Do not operate machine with one boom outof cradle and the other boom in cradle.• Ensure booms are folded and in cradlebefore transporting the machine.WARNINGWhen operating or positioning thebooms, observe the following safetyprecautions:• Monitor both sides of the boom during foldprocedure.• Cradle booms when leaving the machineunattended.• Ensure booms are folded when cradled.• Select a safe area before unfolding/foldingthe booms.• Clear area of personnel.• Check for overhead obstructions.• Do not unfold/fold booms near power lines.Contact with power lines can result inserious injury or death.• Spray equipment is designed for FIELDUSE ONLY. Do not attempt to usemachinery for anything other than it’sintended purpose.WARNINGHydraulic and electrical control systemsare optimized for use of the spray boomattachment. Any modification to thesesystems may lead to unintended anduncontrolled motion. DO NOT installadd-on control systems that are notapproved by Hagie ManufacturingCompany.
