Refer to page 14-4 for troubleshootinginformation.Communication Between the Cordless System and theHostThe cordless imager provides immediate feedback in the form of a “good read”indication (a green LED on the imager and an audible beep) after a bar code isscanned correctly and the base has acknowledged receiving the data. This ispossible since the cordless system provides two-way communication betweenthe imager and the base.When data is scanned, the data is sent to the host system via the base unit. Thecordless imager recognizes data acknowledgement (ACK) from the base unit. Ifit cannot be determined that the data has been properly sent to the base, theimager issues an error indication.
