When the button ispressed so that the AUTO indicatorO goes out, pressing the Tuningbuttons t will move the frequencyup or down in single-step incre-ments. When the FM band is inuse, pressing this button when astation’s signal is weak will changeto monaural reception, as indicatedby the MONO indicator Q. (See page26 for more information.)r Clear Button: This button doesnot function with the AVR45, but it isavailable for use with other devices.s Preset Up/Down: When thetuner is in use, these buttons scrollthrough the stations that have beenprogrammed into the AVR45’s mem-ory. When many source devices,such as CD players, VCRs and cas-sette decks, are selected using theDevice Control Selectors b,these buttons will normally functionas chapter step or track advance.t Tuning Up/Down: When thetuner is in use, these buttons willtune up or down through the select-ed frequency band. If the TunerMode button q has been pressedso that the AUTO indicator O is illu-minated, pressing these buttons willcause the tuner to seek the next sta-tion with acceptable signal strengthfor quality reception. When the AUTOindicator O is NOT illuminated,pressing these buttons will tune sta-tions in single-step increments. (Seepage 26 for more information.)u Transport Controls: These con-trols do not control any functions ofthe AVR45, but they are used exten-sively when operating a wide varietyof CD players, cassette decks andVCRs.
