DISPLAY BUTTON• Each time the DISPLAY button ispressed, the brightness of thedisplay changes as follows:• In display OFF mode, if any buttonis pressed, the unit switches todisplay ON mode.• DISC INTRO, PROGRAM/REVIEW, TAPE SIZE, EDIT,REPEAT (1/ALL), RANDOM PLAY,DELETE, TIME, BACKWARDSKIP, FORWARD SKIP, BACK-WARD SEARCH, FORWARDSEARCH, PAUSE, STOP/CLEARand PLAY BUTTONS.These buttons have the samefunctions as those on the unit.SYSTEM REMOTE CONTROLThis unit can be remotely controlledby Harman Kardon RECEIVERS.• For available control functions,refer to the receiver’s manual.• To play a CD by the systemremote control, make sure toconnect a system remote controlcord to the remote output of theHARMAN KARDON RECEIVER.REMOTE CONTROLFOR THE FL83001. NUMERIC (0-9)AND DISC BUTTONS• If you press the number thatcorresponds to your desired trackwith the NUMERIC buttons, theunit plays that track immediatelywithout the PLAY/PAUSE button.• To select a two-digit track num-ber, the second digit must bepressed within 2 seconds after thefirst digit has been pressed.• During programming or deleting,etc., if you select a track with theNUMERIC buttons, that track isprogrammed or deleted withoutthe PROGRAM/REVIEW orDELETE buttons.Remote Controls• If you want continuous play fromthe current disc without clearingyour programmed selectionsduring programmed play, selectthe desired track on that disc withthe NUMERIC buttons. Continu-ous play starts from that track.• If you want programmed playagain, press the PROGRAM/REVIEW button in stop mode, andthen the unit switches to programmode.• When selecting a disc, press theDISC button and the desired discnumber (1-5) in the NUMERICbuttons within 2 seconds.2. REPEAT A - B BUTTON• During play, press this button atthe beginning of the passage youwant, then REPEAT A- appears onthe display.• Press this button at the end of thepassage again, then REPEAT A -B appears on the display and thespecific passage is playedrepeatedly.• If you want to cancel the repeatA - B play, press the REPEATA - B or STOP/CLEAR button.• During introscan play, REPEATA - B is not operative.13ON OFFdim321FL8300 Engelsk 12/01/98, 16:3816
