ENGLISH4Rear Panel Connections• Before making connections firstturn off the unit.• See the connection diagram in theoperating instructions manual ofHarman Kardon compatibleamplifier or receiver.1. CONNECTION CORDSYou will have two leads from thisunit to connect to amplifier orreceiver. One lead (WHITE) carriesthe LEFT channel signal and shouldbe connected to the LEFT of CD (orAUX) input of amplifier or receiver.The other lead (RED) should beconnected to the RIGHT of CD (orAUX) input.2. AC INPUT CORDPlug this cord into the switched ACoutlet of amplifier or receiver or ahousehold AC outlet.3. SYSTEM REMOTECONTROL CORDThe remote control input jack allowsremote control of this unit via acable. This cable can be connectedto the remote control output jack ofanother Harman Kardon product.Alternatively, it can be connected toan accessory device that convertsinfrared remote control signals intodetected pulses. While all HarmanKardon products with remote controljacks are compatible with oneanother, not all accessory devices orother manufacturer’s products are.However, it is safe to experiment.4.
