Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polar-ized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plughas two blades with one wider than the other. Agrounding-type plug has two blades and a thirdgrounding prong. The wide blade or the thirdprong is provided for your safety. If the providedplug does not fit into your outlet, consult anelectrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.10. Protect the power cord from being walkedon or pinched, particularly at plugs, conveniencereceptacles and the point where they exit fromthe apparatus.11. Only use attachments/accessories specifiedby the manufacturer.12. Use only with the cart, stand,tripod, bracket or table specified bythe manufacturer or sold with theapparatus. When a cart is used, usecaution when moving the cart/apparatuscombination to avoid injury from tip-over.13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning stormsor when unused for long periods of time.14. Refer all servicing to qualified service person-nel. Servicing is required when the apparatus hasbeen damaged in any way, such as power-supplycord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilledor objects have fallen into the apparatus, theapparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture,does not operate normally, or has been dropped.15. Do not use attachments not recommendedby the product manufacturer, as they may causehazards.16. This product should be operated only fromthe type of power source indicated on the mark-ing label. If you are not sure of the type of powersupply to your home, consult your product dealeror local power company. For products intendedto operate from battery power, or other sources,refer to the operating instructions.17. If an outside antenna or cable system isconnected to the product, be sure the antenna orcable system is grounded so as to provide someprotection against voltage surges and built-upstatic charges. Article 810 of the NationalElectrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides infor-mation with regard to proper grounding of themast and supporting structure, grounding of thelead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size ofgrounding conductors, location of antenna-dischargeunit, connection to grounding electrodes, andrequirements for the grounding electrode. SeeFigure A.18. An outside antenna system should not belocated in the vicinity of overhead power lines orother electric light or power circuits, or where itcan fall into such power lines or circuits. Wheninstalling an outside antenna system, extremecare should be taken to keep from touching suchpower lines or circuits, as contact with them mightbe fatal.19. Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords,or integral convenience receptacles, as this canresult in a risk of fire or electric shock.20. Never push objects of any kind into thisproduct through openings, as they may touchdangerous voltage points or short-out parts thatcould result in a fire or electric shock. Never spillliquid of any kind on the product.21. The apparatus shall not be exposed todripping or splashing, and no objects filled withliquids, such as vases, shall be placed onthe apparatus.22. Do not attempt to service this product your-self, as opening or removing covers may exposeyou to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Referall servicing to qualified service personnel.23. When replacement parts are required, besure the service technician has used replacementparts specified by the manufacturer or that havethe same characteristics as the original part.Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire,electric shock or other hazards.24.
