Chapter 1. IntroductionThe IBM VXA-320 Internal Tape Drive is a versatile backup and restore device forlow-range to mid-range servers. This SCSI tape drive is capable of storing up to160 GB of native data on a 230-meter VXA tape. It can transfer data at a sustainedrate of up to 12 MB per second. Both capacity and transfer rates are furtherenhanced with its onboard hardware data compression feature.Note: The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware.In addition to this User’s Guide, the option package contains the following items:v IBM VXA-320 Internal Tape Drivev Mounting screwsv Cleaning cartridgev Quick Start Guidev Device drivers (on the Documentation CD)v SCSI cableContact your place of purchase if an item is missing or damaged.
