Click OSinstallation and select the instructions for your operating system.Using ServeRAID ManagerYou can use the ServeRAID Manager program, provided on the IBM ServeRAIDSupport CD, to:v Configure a redundant array of independent disks (RAID)v Restore a SCSI hard disk to factory-default settings, erasing all datav View your RAID configuration and associated devicesv Monitor operation of your RAID controllersThe ServeRAID Manager program operates in two ways:v Startable-CD modev As an installed software programSee the ServeRAID documentation on the IBM ServeRAID Support CD foradditional information about RAID technology and instructions for using ServeRAIDManager. The Installation Guide for your server also contains instructions for usingServeRAID Manager to configure your integrated SCSI controller with RAIDcapabilities.Notes:1. The integrated SCSI controller with RAID capabilities in your server supportsonly RAID level-1. Installing an optional ServeRAID-5i controller providesadditional RAID levels.2. If you install a different type of RAID adapter in your server, use theconfiguration method supplied with the RAID adapter to view or change SCSIsettings for attached devices.Before you install your operating system, you must configure the controller that isattached to the hard disk drives. You must use the configuration program on theIBM ServeRAID Support CD to configure the integrated SCSI controller with RAIDcapabilities or to configure an optional IBM ServeRAID controller.Notes:1. You cannot use the ServerGuide Setup and Installation CD to configure theoptional controllers.2.
