ITG-100-AL Embedded SystemPage 82 If considerable amounts of dust, water, or fluids enter the device, turn offthe power supply immediately, unplug the power cord, and contact theITG-100-AL vendor. DO NOT:o Drop the device against a hard surface.o Strike or exert excessive force onto the LCD panel.o Touch any of the LCD panels with a sharp objecto In a site where the ambient temperature exceeds the rated temperatureB.1.2 Anti-static PrecautionsWARNING:Failure to take ESD precautions during the installation of theITG-100-AL may result in permanent damage to the ITG-100-AL andsevere injury to the user.Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause serious damage to electronic components, including the ITG-100-AL. Dry climates are especially susceptible to ESD. It is thereforecritical that whenever the ITG-100-AL is opened and any of the electrical components arehandled, the following anti-static precautions are strictly adhered to. Wear an anti-static wristband: Wearing a simple anti-static wristband canhelp to prevent ESD from damaging any electrical component. Self-grounding: Before handling any electrical component, touch anygrounded conducting material. During the time the electrical component ishandled, frequently touch any conducting materials that are connected to theground. Use an anti-static pad: When configuring or working with an electricalcomponent, place it on an anti-static pad. This reduces the possibility of ESDdamage. Only handle the edges of the electrical component: When handling theelectrical component, hold the electrical component by its edges.
