This is acharacteristic of all ceramic glasscooking zones and does notimpair either the function or thelife of the appliance.How to avoid damage to the appliance• The glass ceramic can be damaged byobjects falling onto it, or knocked by thecookware.• Cookware made of cast iron, castaluminum or with damaged bottoms canscratch the glass ceramic if slid on thesurface.• To avoid damaging cookware and glassceramics, do not allow saucepans orfrying pans to boil dry.• Do not use the cooking zones with emptycookware or without cookware.• Never line any part of the appliance withaluminium foil. Never place plastic or anyother material which may melt in or onthe appliance.Care and cleaningGeneral informationWarning! Deactivate theappliance and let it cool downbefore you clean it.Warning! For safety reasons, donot clean the appliance withsteam blasters or high-pressurecleaners.Warning! Sharp objects andabrasive cleaning agents willdamage the appliance. Cleanthe appliance and remove theresidues with water and washingup liquid after each use. Food containing sugar, plastics, tin foilresidues should be removed at once,best tool for cleaning glass surface is ascraper (not included with theappliance). Place a scraper on the glassceramic surface at an angle and removeresidues by sliding the blade over thesurface. Wipe the appliance with adamp cloth and a little washing upliquid. Finally, rub the appliance dryusing a clean cloth.2. Limescale rings, water rings, fatsplashes, shiny metallic discolorationsshould be removed after the appliancehas cooled down using cleaner for glassceramic or stainless steel.ENGLISH 12
