6This barbecue is not intended for usewith charcoal or other similar fuel.Do not use petrol, white spirit, lighterfluid, alcohol or other similar chemicalsto ignite a barbecue.When storing the barbecue or gascylinder, ensure they are away fromflammable materials or liquids.The gas cylinder must not be storednext to this or any other appliance.Always follow care and maintenanceinstructions – regularly maintain yourbarbecue.Do not allow grease, fat or food residueto build up in or on the barbecue – RISKOF FIRE.Always replace worn parts – do not usethe barbecue if a leak, wear or damageis found.Never overload the grill with food– evenly space over the cookinggrill surface, ensuring sufficient aircirculation to the burners.Do not store or cover the barbecue untilfully cooled.This product is not suitable for lavarocks.Do not obstruct the flow of combustionand ventilation air.Keep the ventilation opening of thecylinder enclosure free and clear fromdebris.Keep the area around your gas barbecueclear of any combustible materials,petrol or other flammable liquids andvapours.Pressure regulator and hose assemblysupplied with this barbecue must beused.Replacement pressure regulators andhose assemblies must be the sameas those supplied originally with thebarbecue. Never use an adjustableregulator with this barbecue.Do not hang any combustible materialsfrom the hand rails of this barbecue.Accessible parts may be very hot. Keepyoung children away.Always wear protective gloves or abarbecue mitt when handling hotcomponents or items such as pots.Before each use inspect the gas hoseto ensure it is free of any twisting ortension.LEAK TESTSIMPORTANT – PERFORM LEAK TESTSBEFORE USEAlways leak test the unit – annually, whendismantled, when parts are replaced, or ifthe gas cylinder is removed or replaced.• Never use an open flame to check forleaks at anytime. DO NOT IGNITE THEBARBECUE DURING LEAK TESTING.• To be performed in a well-ventilated area.• Be sure all control knobs are in the ‘OFF’position.• Check for leaks by brushing a solutionof 1/2 water and 1/2 soap over all thegas system joints, including all valveconnections, hose connections andregulator connections.• Ensure the soap solution has been appliedto all connections – connect the regulatorto the gas cylinder, open the gas controlvalve on the regulator allowing gas toflow.• OBSERVE – if bubbles form over any partof the joints there is a leak.• Turn off the gas and tighten all joints• Repeat test. If bubbles form again, do notuse the barbecue. Please contact yourlocal dealer for assistance.GAS AND REGULATOR INSTRUCTIONS• This barbecue can use either propane orbutane LPG bottled gas. If using butaneyou must change the regulator.• Propane cylinders will supply gas all yearround, even on cold winter days.• Butane cylinders will supply sufficient gasin summer. Butane gas must not be usedin colder temperatures. Contact your localgas supplier for advice.• The cylinder should be positionedunderneath the main barbecue body andstored upright.• Gas cylinders should never be stored orlaid on their side.User InstructionsBefore assembling your barbecue, removeall protective packaging from each part.The gas cylinder must have a connectioncompatible with the regulator supplied withthe barbecue and have a minimum capacityof 4kg / 9lbs.Do not store a spare LP gas cylinder underor near this appliance. |
