9412 CONNECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE■ AntennaA key element in the performance of any communicationsystem is the antenna. Ask your dealer about antennas andthe best place to mount them.■ Fuse replacementOne fuse is installed in the supplied DC power cable. If thefuse blows, track down the source of the problem, repair it,and replace the damaged fuse with a new one of the properrating.Fuse rating: 10 A■ CleaningIf the transceiver becomes dusty or dirty, wipe it clean with asoft, dry cloth.DO NOT use harsh solvents such as Benzine oralcohol, as they will damage transceiver’s surfaces.■ Connections (Continued)D Connecting the RC-M600The RC-M600 command head has the same front panel asthe transceiver. Connect the RC-M600 using the OPC-2383control cable. You can operate the transceiver from thedistance.1. Connect the OPC-2383’s 12-pin connector to thetransceiver’s command microphone/command headconnector.2. Connect the other side of OPC-2383 to the RC-M600’s10-pin connector.3. Connect to a 13.8 V DC power source using the DCpower cable supplied with the command head.4.
