If any Programmer Kit is fitted, then draw attention to theProgrammer Kit User's Instructions and hand them to theHouseholder.9. After installation, commissioning and customer hand-over instructions please complete theappliance log book and leave this with the customer.10. Stress the importance of regular servicing by a Corgiregistered installer and that a comprehensive service shouldbe carried out AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.1. Hand the User's Instructions to the Householder and explainhis or her responsibilities under the current Gas Safety(Installation and Use) or rules in force.2. Draw attention to the Lighting Instruction label affixed to thecontrols pod door.3. Explain and demonstrate the lighting and shutting downprocedures.4. The operation of the boiler and the use and adjustment ofALL system controls should be fully explained to theHouseholder, to ensure the greatest possible fueleconomy, consistent with household requirements of bothheating and hot water consumption.Advise the User of the precautions necessary to preventdamage to the system and to the building, in the event ofthe system remaining inoperative during frosty conditions.After completing the installation and commissioning ofthe system the installer should hand over to thehouseholder by the following actions:48 HANDING OVERc. Refill and vent the system, clear all air locks and againcheck for water soundness.d. Balance the system.5. Finally set the controls to the user's requirements.The temperatures quoted below are approximate and varybetween installations:46 INITIAL LIGHTING - continuedWARNING. The boiler MUST NOT beoperated with the casing removed.47 GENERAL CHECKSMake the following checks for correct operation:1. Set the boiler thermostat knob to position 6 and operate theMains on/off switch. Check that the main burner lights andextinguishes in response.2. The correct operation of ANY programmer and all othersystem controls should be proved. Operate each controlseparately and check that the main burner or circulatingpump, as the case may be, responds.3. Check that the casing is sealed correctly and compressingthe sealing strip all around the casing.4. Water Circulating Systema. With the system HOT, examine all water connections forsoundness.b. With the system still hot, turn off the gas, water andelectricity supplies to the boiler and drain down in orderto complete the flushing process.19. Swing the control box back intoits working position and secure.20. Remove the boiler casing.21. Refit the controls support to theboiler casing and tighten the 2front fixing screws.22. Refit the complete casing to theboiler.23. Close the pod door.INSTALLATION
