40Installation and ServicingSECTION 2 - INSTALLATION2.26 INITIAL LIGHTINGTHE DISPLAYThe user control has one display to inform the user aboutthe status of the boiler. The LCD shows the status of theflame. If no flame is detected the flame symbol will not bevisible. When the flame is detected the flame symbol willbe visible permanently.Below is a list with display functions in normal operation.0 0 Standby, no demand for heat present.ON There is a demand for heat.F P Boiler is active for boiler frost protection.Boiler is in lockout for a specific error. Display willshow a number after the “ ” to indicate which error isdetected.F Boiler has a fault for a specific error. Display willshow a number after the “ ” to indicate which error isdetected.Note: Boiler frost protection - boiler operates if theambient temperature is below 5ºC until it reaches 19ºC.LegendA. If it is necessary to operate the system pump toassist venting of the air this must be done with the gas service cockturned off.2. Refit the boiler front panel. Refer to Section 3.2.3. Check that the electrical supply is OFF.4. Check that the boiler mode knob (B) is OFF.5. Check that the gas service cock (J) is OPEN.6. Slacken the screw in the inlet pressure test point (H) and connecta gas pressure gauge via a flexible tube.7. Switch the electricity supply ON and check all external controlsare calling for heat.CENTRAL HEATING8. Set the CH temp knob (A) to max and turn the mode knob (B) to“BOILER ON”. The boiler control should now go through its ignitionsequence until the burner is established.9. If the boiler does not light then after 5 attempts the boiler will lockout and display fault code L 2.Restart the boiler (Refer to Section 2.28). The boiler will repeatits ignition sequence. If restart occurs 5 times within 15 minutesthen LC will be shown. If power is removed this will be restarted. When the burner is established the ‘ ’ will be shown on the displaywith the word ‘ ON’ indicating central heating operation and thecurrent flow temperature shown in the 2 digit display.10. Ensure that with the boiler operating the dynamic gas pressureis able to obtain maximum output. Refer to Table 2.IMPORTANTThe gas input to the burner is regulated by the gas valveaccording to the air flow produced by the fan. It is NOT user-adjustable. Any interference to sealed settings on the gasvalve will adversely affect operation and render our warrantyvoid. For additional gas supply information refer to “Gas Supply” on page 12.11. Remove gas pressure gauge, tighten inlet pressure test pointand check for gas tightness.Note. The boiler incorporates a fan overrun cycle whichMUST NOT be prematurely interrupted by isolation of themains electricity supply.ºCONA EB C D FGMINeRESTARTMAXBOILEROFFBOILERONGas SupplyJHINSTALLATION
