INSTALLATION27 INITIAL LIGHTING1. Check that the system has been filled and that the boileris not air locked - air in the system could trip the overheatthermostat.2. Check that all the drain cocks are closed and any valvesin the flow and return are open.3. Check that the GAS SERVICE COCK IS ON.4. Fill the siphon beaker with water before putting the unitinto operation (see frame 32 for siphon removal).Check the indication on the pressuregauge. If the pressure is less than 1 bar, the installationshould be filled up first.5. Switch the electricity supply ON and check that allexternal controls are calling for heat.6. The gas control solenoid valve should open and ignitioncommence, continuing until the burner is established.7. Test for gas soundness around ALL boiler gascomponents, using leak detection fluid.8. Operate the boiler for 20 minutes to stabilise the burnertemperature.9. The boiler is preset at the factory, therefore noadjustments should be necessary. However, if problemsare experienced refer to Frame 31.28 GENERAL CHECKSA number of adjustments can be carried out on the boiler. These adjustable potentiometers are located behind the controlpanel cover. Adjustment of these meters to the desired value will be dependant upon the type of installation.SupplytemperatureHot waterstorage temperaturePartial loadTest switch1. Supply temperatureUsing the upper trimming potentiometer, indicated with aradiator, to adjust the central heating water temperature. This temperature can be adjusted between 40 ˚C to 90 ˚C.2. Storage temperature hot waterOnly used when fitted with integral DHW calorfier.3. Partial loadUse the potentiometer to adjust the maximumpower. The highest adjustment corresponds with a 100%capacity, the lowest adjustment corresponds with a 30%capacity (refer to table 1).You will also find a test switch on the control panel, indicatedwith a chimney sweep symbol. During normal operation thisswitch has to be in the “0”- position. For service purposes the test switch can be put in the upperposition. The unit will then be heated at maximum power. To burnerGas supplyBurner pressuremeasuring pointDynamicpressure fromfan connectionBurner pressureadjusting screw(behind cover)Inlet pressuremeasuring point211115Honeywell gascontrol valve499003 UK1 2904010110111kW211076Maximiser SE - Installation 20
